On Friday, January 4th, 2013 all roads in Nigerian movie industry led to Ibadan City, Oyo State as late actress Bisi Komolafe who died in the wee hours of New Year’s Day, precisely 3.a.m was buried in her fatherland.

 With about 5000 people in attendance Bisi Komolafe rested her case at St. Mary Catholic Church,Salvation Okeepaadi,Ibadan,Oyo State where she was interred after four days funeral activities.

Unarguably,top Nollywood filmmakers made various kinds of sacrifices to ensure that their late colleague, friend and sister will not only receive befitting burial but also struggled to witness all the activities and see her casket lowered to the grave.

 While cash contributions were made, many of these top filmmakers were so excited to have made the journey by road from Lagos to Ibadan because they wanted to bury their late colleague in grand style.

 A lot of other artistes traveled all the way from Lagos and other part of the country to Ibadan with their private cars; still others made the trip by air and arrived on Friday morning.

 Producers, Directors, Actors, and Actresses started trooping into town from Thursday evening.

Ibadan was so populated that all the hotel rooms were occupied and movie productions were shut down in different states of the federation.

 Nollywood people were indeed highly welcome to Ibadan city by their fans that were anxious to see them, have close contact with them and finally steal their properties. They were given a tip of what was in store at cemetery where a good number of Nollywood filmmakers lost their cellphones, glasses, jewelry and money.

 Many became cautious of their environment while others who didn’t really understand the meaning of “Welcome to Ibadan” continued with the normal style of flaunting those glamorous assets.

 On the process of having close contact with the crowd, top artistes who enjoy the pleasure of taking photographs with their fans lost their precious belongings such as mobile telephones, BlackBerry phones, Jewelry and money.

 In no time, the news filtered out and people started leaving their precious possessions at hotel rooms and inside their cars before meeting the crowd.

 Several movie stars spotted at the burial were,Bolaji Amusan a.k.a Mr Latin,Bimbo Oshin,Iyabo Ojo,Femi Adebayo,Muyiwa Ademola,Yinka Quadri, Doris Simeon,Fathia Balogun, Rose Odika amongst others.

Bisi’s death has dealt a serious blow on her loved ones as preparation was already in top gear for her wedding to her Canada based fiancĂ©,Babatunde Ijaodola,but unfortunately that didn’t happen.

 Tunde Ijaodola,Bisi Komolafe’s fiancĂ© reportedly collapsed at the burial ceremony. It took sometime before the young man could be revived.

 Since Bisi died, there have been speculations to the cause of her death.

 Although, the details of her strange ailment were unknown to many, it was learnt that the actress has been injected with over 30 pints of blood.

 Several sources confirmed that a last minute SOS campaign was made by the deceased and her family to raise emergency funds to fly her abroad for treatment.

 In recent times, the late Bisi face adorned jackets of several new Yoruba movies and lovers of the industry obviously liking her style of delivery.

In the last few months,Bisi Komolafe has become a household name.

 The pretty actress role in “Igboro Ti Daru” depicted her ability to be daring in movies.

Bisi got into the Yoruba movie in 2005 through the respected movie actor,Taiwo Hassan popularly called Ogogo.She went through the traditional movie training at Odunfa Yoruba Theater Arts Caucus jointly managed by Yinka Quadri,Taiwo Hassan and Abbey Lanre for 4 years.

 She graduated in year 2009.

 Since then her story has been that of a gradual rise to stardom.

The pretty unassuming actress who hails from Ilesa,Osun state was raised in Ibadan where she attended Sacred Heart Nursery and primary school,St. Louis Grammar school and the Polytechnic Ibadan before crossing to Lagos State University,Lasu where she read Business Administration.
